주형지(b.2001)는 어렸을 적 농사를 짓는 외할머니의 돌봄으로부터 형성된 공동체 경험과 생태 관찰을 기반으로 조각·설치와 프로젝트를 시도하고 있습니다. 비인간(흙·잡초·야생동물)에 관한 응시와 지속가능한 재료에 대한 탐구를 실천하며 공공의 장에서 이루어질 수 있는 미적 실천에 관심을 두고 작업을 이어오고 있습니다.

Hyeongji Ju (b.2001) engages in sculpture, installation, and project work, drawing from communal experiences and ecological observations formed during childhood under the care of her farming grandmother. She practices contemplation of non-human entities (soil, weeds, wildlife) and explores sustainable materials, focusing on aesthetic practices that can be realized in public spaces.

풀밭에서 무언가를 찾고 살펴보는 과정은 보상이 없는 일에 가까우며, 이는 토끼풀 사이에서 네 잎 클로버를 찾는 것과 닮았습니다. 참여의 장소 내 눈맞춤의 과정을 전개하며, 관람객을 주체적인 관찰자로 상정합니다.

The process of searching and observing in a field is like a task with no immediate reward, similar to finding a four-leaf clover among the clover patches. This unfolds as an engagement of eye-level interaction within the space of participation, positioning the viewer as an active observer.
